Artie is not a working dog, but he clearly loves to herd any other animals including his human family. Artie is extremely kind and gentle, with children, babies, smaller dogs and even cats. But is protective if strangers come to the door. He loves to please, is affectionate, very intelligent, energetic but happy to lie quietly. He likes to be the sheriff in a group of dogs, if there is any fighting he breaks it up immediately. He loves to learn new things and comes alive if something is asked of him.
